Tonight I don’t have anything amazing to report on but I do have a few plugs I’d like to tell everyone about. Mostly just websites or products that I’ve tried and loved.

Your Scene Sucks – I can’t even put this website into words. It’s hilarious and I actually laughed out loud several times. If you’re familiar with the music scene at all and the new types of music / fashion that come along with it, you’ll totally appreciate this website. My favorite is the “Prehistoric Emo” :D

Cetaphil – The best darn facial cleanser I’ve ever tried. I’ve tried a few different cleansers because I have extremely oily skin and this one has been the most effective so far. I used the variety that is for oily skin but from what I read on-line, the normal skin cleanser is just as great. I’ve tried Nutrogena, Dove and other brands of facial cleanser and I always break out really bad within’ a week of using it. So far I have not broken out at all with this product and my face actually feels softer and cleaner. It looks like it is clearing up very well, too! One thing that I really like about this cleanser is that it has a soft clean soap-like scent to it. Nothing over powering and nothing that is going to burn your eyeballs out of your skull :) It doesn’t leave my face feeling “tight” like many other facial cleansers. Try this out if you want a good face wash! It just goes to show that great things sometime come in ugly packages ;)

Icense Warehouse – I usually order my incense from here :) I absolutely love incense and this website has a GREAT variety. It is all categorized by country of origin and very easy to browse. Now I totally know what you’re thinking, how can you buy incense on-line if you can’t give it the sniff test? Well, I say just go for it! I ordered the Green Tea, Bamboo and a set of cones. I also ordered an Incense holder because I didn’t realize that 2 of the packages I ordered COME with incense holders! The Green Tea one came with a tiny ceramic square (that was beautifully painted) with a hole in it (an incense stick holder) and the cone package I got came with a small ceramic bowl for those. Anyway, I just wanted to say how awesome this website is! I got quit a bit of incense for $25. They have flat rate shipping that is $4.95 for orders under $50. I wish I could burn incense with me everywhere I go. I just love the stuff.

Flickr Bento Box Pool – And last but certainly not least, my all time most favorite photo pool ever :) I could seriously spend hours looking through this photo pool without even thinking about looking away. I admire everyones creativity and aspire to someday make my own great bento box. For anyone that doesn’t know, a bento box is basically a Japanese lunch box.

Gene and I went to Sushi for dinner. Actually, we went to Target first because I was going to just settle for their sushi but of course they didn’t have the one I really wanted (Dragon Roll) and everything else did not look that appetizing. We ended up at this tiny place called Mr. Sushi here in town. It was very, very good! About the same price as any other Sushi place. Some of the pieces were very tiny for our taste. We had Tempura Roll, Smoked Salmon Roll and some special called Cousin’s Special. All pretty darn good! I can eat sushi any day of the week and be perfectly happy :)

We went and checked out the new Walmart that is about 5 or so miles from here. It was actually pretty nice since it is so brand new and stuff! Of course, it doesn’t beat the one that is about 1 mile exactly from our house but I think we’ll still make special trips out there just because its something different. The same ‘ol thing gets boring sometimes! And I don’t mind driving sometimes.. Listening to music and chatting. Good times.

Got a couple of long sleeve t-shirts from Walmart and 2 t-shirts (Cheetos & Lucky Charms, hah). I love Walmart clearance! The t-shirts were only $5 a piece. I also got my aunt a Congratulatory card (late but ya know, that’s how I roll) for the new addition to her family (baby boy). I think we got other stuff too but that was the important stuff ;)

Now I think I am going to go start my laundry. I think I may just get it done tonight and then I wont even have to worry about it on Sunday. That would totally rock! A Sunday without laundry. It’s so freakin’ sweet I can almost taste it. Oh and tomorrow morning we are going to have free breakfast at El Chico. A Mexican breakfast, which I have no idea what that is. From what people tell me, it is basically breakfast burritos. Yum!

Dabbled a bit in Japanese culture this weekend:

Ate at Japanese restaurant: Fuji Japanese Restaurant.

Watched Japanese movie: Nobody Knows.

Watched anime: Da Capo S.S.

Candace already talked about our experience at Fuji in pretty good detail.

Nobody Knows is a Japanese independent film. The story sounded really interesting – about four kids who were pretty much abandoned by their parents, living in an apartment by themselves. But, like lots of independent movies, it doesn’t try to make it easy on the watcher. Like what the hell is going on at times, or a conclusive ending. I think we were all pretty disappointed.

Layla & I watched Da Capo S.S. (second season) up to episode 9. So far it reminds me of a soap opera. Maybe it will get better.

Overall, it did turn out to be a good weekend with good people and good times.
