You know I absolutely love posting when I find new Firefox extensions, right?? Well, this may not be a new one per say, but it is definitely new to me! I am recently becoming obsessed with Flickr and I wanted a plug-in that would display my Flickr contacts latest photos. Well I found one, and it is awesome! Check it out, FlickrFox.
I gave Gene an early Valentine’s Gift. We don’t usually do “humongous” gifts on v-day but I got a really good deal on this and I had to give it to him now! No way was I going to wait until his birthday in April. Besides, there is a rebate I need to mail in so I needed him to open it and try it out before I went destroying the box to get the barcode off! Anyway, I got him the Creative Zen Vision:M in pale blue and I actually got myself one in pale pink. It’s freakin’ beautiful! And the quality is great and so far I really, really love it. I am in the process right now of putting all four volumes of Family Guy episodes on it :) Right now I have Season 4 (which is 27 episodes) and Season 1. I’ll have Season 2 and 3 on it by tomorrow, I hope. I also put Space Balls The Movie and Nacho Libre on it. We are going to the Gym in about 30 minutes or so to work out and test out our awesome litttle gadgets. Which is pretty much what we’ve been doing all weekend.
I did pick up some scrapbooking supplies yesterday so that I can start scrapbooking. The sweet and generous Brooke sent me a box of stuff to get me started. I thank her because without her I wouldn’t have known WHERE to start. There is just so much stuff out there. So anyway, I got about 50 prints of the dogs at Walmart (only $9!) and picked up a dog scrapbook and went to town. Gotta start out easy! I spent HOURS working on it last night. I had loads of fun and I am definitely going to keep this up. Oh and I also made pretty paper covered manilla folders thanks to This Very Totally Awesome Woman and her genius ideas! The photos of the scrapbook pages and the folders are on my flickr.
So my next dilemma is whether I upgrade to a Flickr pro account or keep using the free one. I really, really want the capability to upload more pictures as that was one of my secret new year’s resolutions this year. But I hate uploading because everytime I do, it reminds me of how much I suck because I have a free account and yada yada yada. So anyway, I’m workin’ on that right now. It’s only $25 for an entire years worth so I’m thinkin of biting the bullet and going with it.
Anyway, we better get going to the gym soon or else we will never make it out of the house. Tonight we may go over to Malinda’s house to visit her for a little bit. She’s watching football so I don’t think we’ll stay THAT long ;) Besides, today Cartoon Network is doing a Family Guy marathon! We need to do laundry today, too.
Thought I would update on the knee injury.. I went to the doctor yesterday morning and the x-ray showed a dislocation so I hobbled back to the doctor’s office after I had the x-ray and the doctor proceeded to yank and bend and twist my knee in all kinds of horribly painful ways until we hear about 3 LOUD pop/cracking sounds and wham, it’s back in place. Still swollen and more sore today than the last previous days. Maybe that is a sign of it healing? I don’t know. If it’s not better in 2 weeks I have to go back for the dreaded MRI so they can make sure there were no tendons torn. Yippeee!
And one more thing, I don’t know how many people use web mail but g-mail is quite possibly the greatest thing in the world. No real “ads”, it loads fast, it notifies me immediately when I have new messages and all kinds of other features. Mostly, it is a SIMPLE web mail but very handy and featureful! I love it. So anyway, now that I am done selling you on g-mail, I suggest you use Firefox as your browser and then go download the Gmail Skins add-on for Firefox! It lets you skin your g-mail so that it can be a variety of colors instead of the plain ol’ boring blue.
