An update of sorts. Oh and Happy February.
I’m still around. Things have been hectic. This Saturday I went to the last of 3 baby showers in the last month or so. I know two people who are expecting babies in February, so this is going to be another busy month. I also have a goal of buying a crib and picking out a baby name by March 1st. I like to set goals, even though I tend to fail miserably at meeting them.
I kept saying I was going to paint the nursery yellow. But then I went and found the cutest classic pooh bedding that is PINK. A very pale pink, mind you, but still pink. And so then I thought I would paint the room a beige or tan type color. But now? Now I am really wanting to paint the room a light pink. Nothing too obnoxious and bright. Something very pale. So now I think I am going to wait until our 28-30 week ultrasound (a 4D ultrasound, yay!) to confirm for sure that this little munchkin is a girl before I go painting any walls.
Right now we have the curtains, lamp, baskets and 2 pink classic pooh crib sheets. The curtains are a sheer off-white color and the baskets are just a general classic pooh design. I got all of this stuff on clearance at Target a while back. Yay for clearance items.
Gene and I are trying to plan our trip to Austin, Texas right now. We’re leaving on the morning of February 14th and coming back on February 18th. We got a 3 night stay at a Hilton hotel in Austin and I am so excited! We have never stayed in a hotel that nice, ever. They have a pool on the roof of the hotel that is climate controlled so it is open year round. I’m not getting my hopes up on being able to swim in it but I am going to take my suite just in case. Ugh, I hope it still fits? Who knows. I’m definitely not buying a maternity swimsuit just for that, though. I’m really looking forward to getting away for a little while. Our last getaway sans child.
Well I guess thats all I have for now. It seems like there is a lot more to report on, especially pregnancy wise, I just can’t get my thoughts straight. I really need to get a list of addresses to a friend for my baby shower and I need to get the online baby shower for my May 2009 board organized and ready. This weekend has been a super lazy one. It seems like I need to eat every 3 hours! I hate that.. I feel like such a pig all of the time. I am really looking forward to dieting and losing weight after the baby is born! I know that sounds crazy to say but it has been a huge struggle through this pregnancy so far. I always get so bummed about my weight and stuff like that. Thank goodness this little booger in me moves around a lot :) She can easily wipe the frown right off of my face!
