17 weeks pregnant
I am a huge dork, I know, but I am really excited about tomorrow. It is a full day of running errands and appointments and getting things taken care of but best of all, I get to spend the entire day with the hubby. We have a lot of things we need to get taken care of so we are both taking the day off of work to get these things in order. Sometimes you need a week day to get this stuff done!
First thing in the morning we are taking the Echo into the shop to have the 30,000 mile maintenance done. Did I mention that it has about 50,000 miles on it right now? Oops. Totally forgot about that! But hey, it is a 2002 and only has 50,000 miles on it so I think we are doing okay. Next, we will go on a hospital tour of the birthing center at one of the local hospitals to see if its the one for us. After that we are probably going to enjoy lunch together and then I have my monthly OBGYN appointment early in the afternoon. I’m really excited to hear the heartbeat or see our little ninja again.
I have a really nice OBGYN that does ultrasounds in office if she can’t find the heartbeat via doppler. Last time I was 13 weeks and she couldn’t find it. I’m secretly hoping they can’t find it with the doppler again so that we can have a sneak peak at the little one. We love seeing him/her and it just makes it that much more real.
The good news is that we are just 7 days away from our big ultrasound next week. I am really looking forward to that because we will get to have a real check up on the baby’s stats and make sure everything is going well so far. Up until now we have just had quick little ultrasounds here and there to make sure we can see a heartbeat and see movement. Our big one next week will confirm all of the details of his/her health and we should be able to find out the sex as well! Everyone I know is guessing a girl but I have no inclination of what it really is. Gene and I will be happy with either a little boy or a little girl.
I’m 17 weeks pregnant now. Amazing how time flies. I’ve been feeling slight butterfly-ish feelings here and there for the last 5 days or so. It’s amazing and I know in my heart that its the baby moving around in there. I am a “big girl” so it will be a lot longer before Gene can feel anything from the outside but I know what I’m feeling on the inside and it is amazing and makes me so happy and reassured.
