…at the speed of light. It honestly feels like just yesterday we were celebrating Leap Day and here it is.. what? The middle of March? What?! I can’t even hardly believe that we are a mere 28 days away from our Wedding. I haven’t picked out all of the reception music and I haven’t booked a place for the rehearsal dinner. Lots of little things to wrap up that I need to get to workin’ on ASAP.

This week was one of the most trying weeks I’ve had in a very long time. There was a lot of crying and self doubt involved. I have no idea what was going on. Maybe my hormones wigged out a little on me? No idea. But I feel much, much better now. I know some of it had to do with my weight issues. I’ve really been beating myself up for letting myself gain 20lbs back that I had lost in October of last year. I worked so hard to lose all of that weight and then just lost sight of myself and stopped caring. But I’m not going to dwell on that any longer, I’m just going to keep working harder and harder to lose the weight. I am down about 12 to 13lbs as of this morning and I will keep on truckin’! I feel great because I can now eat HALF a PB&J and a couple of peach slices and be completely satisfied. That’s progress, my friends!

Yesterday Gene had oral surgery. He had a root canal back when he was in high school and there is now a really horrible infection in that one tooth, that is in the bone. They had to extract that tooth yesterday morning. He is doing a lot better although we did have a little scare last night when he pulled the gauze out and it appeared that it pulled the blood clot and was bleeding a bit. So they are going to wait for the incision to heal and then we will find out if he can have an implant put in where that tooth was. The tooth that was pulled is the tooth that is right next to the wisdom tooth so it is very important for eating. If they can’t do an implant for some reason, they will have to also extract the tooth above it otherwise he could have some major issues with that tooth. Something about the top tooth not having a bottom tooth to rest on? I dunno. Dentist mumbo jumbo! He also needs to see an orthodontist about straightening out his bite a little because the tops of his teeth are being worn down, almost as if he was grinding his teeth.

Anyway.. that is what has been going on. Nothing really exciting. I’m still writing out my Thank You cards from the bridal shower. I’ll have them mailed out on Monday. I unpacked most of my bridal shower goodies last night. I washed all of the dishes and stuff and got them put away in cabinets. I still want to organize some of my cabinets, just haven’t had the time. There is a pretty big pile of empty boxes in my kitchen floor right now!
