So this is growing up?

I’m embarassed to even admit how excited I am about possibly getting a new oven. Is that the ultimate sign that I have officially grown up and am becoming domesticated? I thought Marriage was supposed to do that but I still have two more months before that happens and I’m already feeling a little on the old lady side. Did I ever mention that when the weather goes from warm to cold over night I have lots of pain in my knees for a few days? More on that some other time. I think I can only handle one old-lady thing at a time here!

I don’t know if I ever mentioned it but about 4 months ago our oven passed away. It was really sad and I was and still am quite angry with it for just going like that. I mean, we just bought this house last May and not even 6 months later it bites the dust? Pretty rude if you ask me!

Thanks to Home Depot, we may be getting that beauty over there on your left. Thanks to their credit card, the 12 months no interest and the 10% sale right now! We went in store and looked at it this afternoon and it is just as pretty as it looks in the picture, if not better. The only problem we have run into is that the oven in our house right now is a drop-in oven and we really want to purchase a slide-in one. There will be some wood cutting and tile cutting to get this new bad boy in but I am determined to do it!

So hopefully this time next week I will be baking delicious dishes in my new oven.

Because if I have to cook one more thing in my TOASTER OVEN it will not be a pretty sight!

  1. That’s terrible to hear your oven died after just six months. Very dodgy – but the new one looks FANTASTIC!

I’ve been hobbling around like an old lady lately too, have had the worst back pain. Gah! :(

  2. LOL I remember when I was 21 years old…..I got a dishwasher for my birthday. I was thrilled! Haa ha ha ahaaa!!!!! (that’s what I get for getting married at age 18 and having a house with no dishwasher)

PS – That oven is GORGEOUS!

  3. That’s too bad about your oven dying Candace! But the brand new one is a beauty! You will be cooking alot of good meals in that oven!
