Popcorn = The Best Ever

I didn’t post a picture of my wedding dress because I am trying to keep with tradition and surprise Gene on the Big Day. But then it came to me, I can link to it from here. So I’m trying to stay away from too much traditional stuff when it comes to this wedding. I have mixed beliefs and some strong opinions when it comes to the institution of Marriage. I don’t think the word marriage and a piece of paper can really define a relationship. A relationship is built on so much more and too many people in this country today take it all for granted. Too many people are getting married and divorced as if it means nothing. And at the rate that Celebrities (and us every-day-peeps too) are getting married and then divorced, I don’t see why it is such a big deal for gays and lesbians to wed as well. I love everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation and I feel like they should be able to do everything that us heteros can do. But I realize this ALL (along with EVERY-FREAKIN-THING-ELSE) goes back to religion / organized religion.

I wont get into a huge religious debate. Mostly because I am too ignorant to hold up my end of the debate, therefore making a complete ass of myself. But I have my opinions, some of it is educated and some not-so. Regardless, they are my opinions and I don’t claim them to be anything but that. Our wedding is not going to have any religious mambo jambo in it. I’m wanting to do our own vowels, which sets the standard pretty darn high. However, I think we can do it. We love each other truly enough to write a couple of sentences to prove it.

Anyway on to more mundane things. I’m sitting on the couch, watching a recorded episode of My Gym Partner’s A Monkey from the DVR and snacking on Light Movie Theatre Butter Popcorn. The BEST microwave popcorn EVER. The bag is a normal sized bag with approximately 250 calories, which is about half or less than half of what a normal Movie Theatre Butter popcorn package would cost ya. Good stuff!

Tomorrow I’m mailing out most of our Save The Date cards. I made cute little magnets and attached them inside the cards. I’ll mail the last few (about 10 or so) later this week. I’m still waiting on some addresses. I’ll try to take a picture of the cards & magnets as soon as I can get a chance.

Well it’s getting late. Not as late as last night but I’d like to get a bath before I hit the sack tonight. Or at least a shower. I’ll post again tomorrow, I promise. I’m seriously going to try to post every single day this month. I’m going to run into a couple of problems on the 15th because I will be out of town where I don’t think I’ll be able to get ANY Internet access but if I can, I’ll try to steal someones for just a moment.
