( nine years of laughter )

My goodness I can’t believe I am saying this but tomorrow is Gene and I’s ninth anniversary. Nine years ago on June 25th, he was barely 15 and I was barely 16. He asked me to be his girlfriend and I was ecstatic to say yes. Neither one of us ever imagined that we would be where we are at today. Nine years really doesn’t seem like that long of a time when you think about it but I seriously feel like we have known each other for centuries. However, our love and relationship in general has that “new” feeling EVERY single day.

I guess it is really hard to put into words. Every year I basically try to write out my love for him. Every time I try to describe it and talk about it, I end up frustrated because as cliché as it sounds, there really are no words that could describe it. I guess one of the most important aspects of our relationship, to me anyway, is that we are not only a couple but we are best friends. I trust Gene with every single ounce of my soul. I truly feel like the luckiest woman in the entire universe, every single day.

Tomorrow we’re seeing a movie and I’m not sure what else. We both took off work and we are going to just be together tomorrow. It really doesn’t matter what we do, as long as we are close to each other. We’re guaranteed to have fun, laugh hysterically and admire each other with a love so deep we could both drown in it.
