Addicted to shopping and sushi

Gene and I went to Sushi for dinner. Actually, we went to Target first because I was going to just settle for their sushi but  of course they didn’t have the one I really wanted (Dragon Roll) and everything else did not look that appetizing. We ended up at this tiny place called Mr. Sushi here in town. It was very, very good! About the same price as any other Sushi place. Some of the pieces were very tiny for our taste. We had Tempura Roll, Smoked Salmon Roll and some special called Cousin’s Special. All pretty darn good! I can eat sushi any day of the week and be perfectly happy :)

We went and checked out the new Walmart that is about 5 or so miles from here. It was actually pretty nice since it is so brand new and stuff! Of course, it doesn’t beat the one that is about 1 mile exactly from our house but I think we’ll still make special trips out there just because its something different. The same ‘ol thing gets boring sometimes! And I don’t mind driving sometimes.. Listening to music and chatting. Good times.

Got a couple of long sleeve t-shirts from Walmart and 2 t-shirts (Cheetos & Lucky Charms, hah). I love Walmart clearance! The t-shirts were only $5 a piece. I also got my aunt a Congratulatory card (late but ya know, that’s how I roll) for the new addition to her family (baby boy). I think we got other stuff too but that was the important stuff ;)

Now I think I am going to go start my laundry. I think I may just get it done tonight and then I wont even have to worry about it on Sunday. That would totally rock! A Sunday without laundry. It’s so freakin’ sweet I can almost taste it. Oh and tomorrow morning we are going to have free breakfast at El Chico. A Mexican breakfast, which I have no idea what that is. From what people tell me, it is basically breakfast burritos. Yum!

Back from the dead

We carved pumpkin’s on Monday night. By we, I mean Gene, Layla and I. I got us 2 pumpkins each and we had a lot of fun. We each did one pumpkin with a pattern and then one pumpkin freehand-style :D They turned out really, really great! It was the first time I (or any of us, for that matter) have ever carved a pumpkin. Growing up, my dad always did it for us. And boy was it ever nasty pulling out the pumpkin-guts. Ugh!

New layout! Yay. The other one got ooold. I know it was pink and pink is my absolute favorite color but man, it was getting way old. I had to leave it up until the end of October as it was Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I really can’t believe it is already November. Christmas is only 3 paychecks away. Hah, when you look at it that way, it’s really scary.

Dear Time,

Please slow down.

Yours truly,
Candace

Anyway… So the ringing in my ears finally subsided. Sometimes when it is extremely quiet in the room, I can still hear a little bit of “noise” but other than that, it is mostly gone. At least I am not trying to pull my hair out and feel like I am losing my mind. Will be wearing earplugs for now on at any shows, I don’t care what kind of music they play. This happened before and I swore I would never go without earplugs again because I didn’t want to lose my hearing from a concert but you know how that goes.

Gene’s brother and sister-in-law are coming to stay with us for Thanksgiving. They are going to share Thanksgiving with us and my family. I am really happy that they are coming to visit but am worried about Astro. Last time they were here, I don’t think his brother was too fond of him. Actually, I think he was frightened. Eek. I just hope he calms down and they can all get along. And I hope that we can make some yummy vegan dishes for his sister-in-law so that she can have a great Thanksgiving as well. I’m sure it will all work out!

Better go. I hurt my ankle at some point today (no idea how) and I need to get some things done around the house. I really, really need to clean the bathrooms and maybe get the bed sheets changed. Things I usually do on the weekends but neglected to do last weekend. Ah well, if I get it done during the week, I wont have to do it on the weekend, right??
