I want to post and say some great, exciting new things are going on but there really isn’t a whole lot to say. Just a few minor things and to save me the time I will post them in a list-type format…
- A new computer is coming my way in a week or two! Yippee :) I’ve had my computer for many years and I am going to pass it on to my mother (800 mhz processor, if I remember correctly). The new one coming my way is a Dell and it is 3.0 ghz. Yay :) I am so excited! Although the real excitement has not hit yet.. It will when the UPS guy shows up.
- Gene won the Outstanding Senior of the Year award at UCO (University of Central OK) for the Computer Science department. I am so proud of my baby :) We went to the Banquet on Friday and it was very lovely. I got pictures but they are horrible and blurry. He got a very nice wooden frame with the award in it and also a plaque with the award information engraved.
- Still eating better! I haven’t been doing as great as I like because I have had days off and my eating habits tend to go straight downhill during those days. I definitely don’t eat as much food as I ever used to but I try my best to keep my snacking scheduled and regular that way my metabolism can keep up.. However, I am usually a 2-meal type of gal on my days off of work. Bad, bad! I know :o I’m trying though, so that is what counts ;)
Well, that is about all I can think of right now. I am really, really tired and think I will try my best to get in bed early tonight. Hoping the extra sleep will do me some good for tomorrow. Working 8-5 M-F this week and it is going to be so strange! Definitely not used to such short shifts and definitely not used to working 5 days a week. Going to be a big change and I think it will take a little while to get used to.
