Trendy: torn up jeans and cute polos

I went to Old Navy today and purchased a few items from their “Plus size” Section. Ha. It’s awesome ;) Anyway, onto the point of my story.. Gene and I basically try to avoid “trends” in as many ways as we can. But I am not a total rebellion and sometimes whatever is currently trendy is actually quite cute and I must indulge. With that being said, I sometimes have a heart attack when I see that my sister got a pair of $60 jeans from Hollister that are 30% torn up. It is just crazy to me!

So today I did the one thing I said I would never do, I bought a pair of torn up jeans. Yes. And they actually fit good and look kinda cute ;) I’m impressed. But just know that I did not spend $60 on them and really, that is the most important thing. So anyway, the funniest part of the story is that I was checking out with some young high schoolage kid that was either very, very metrosexual or not-quite-sure-yet homosexual, and he scanned the jeans and began to fold them as he told me that these jeans were very trendy. I just smiled and look at Gene with the “Oh my gosh did you just hear that??” look and the guy must have thought I was offended because he followed his comment up with “And that’s a good thing!” LOL. So anyway, we were walking out of Old Navy and I told Gene how badly I wanted to say “Oh… they are??? Ummm…. I don’t think I’m gonna get those anymore” after he told me how trendy they were, lol. But hey, at least I didn’t ask him where he got his braided hemp bracelet. That would just be trend overload.

Anyway, that is my post for today. I am trying to get into the shower so that I can get into bed by 11. I am very, very tired. For some reason I have slept like crap all week and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better. Not to mention I have a slight infection in the gums near one of my teeth and it is causing much unwanted pain!

(P.S. I think the weight loss thing is still going well. I’m fighting temptation better than I ever have in my entire life. I’m trying to eat my fruits and veggies and I am down a size in pants! I have a long way to go but gosh I feel SO wonderful now. I always feel like I have more energy than I ever did before and I never feel that so sick I’m gonna puke feeling after eating. I always feel satisfied.)
