Gene and I raked up 6 bags of leaves yesterday evening and we have about 6-8 more bags to go! Today is a beautiful day and would be perfect to work on that but Gene has work he has to do and I really need to work on the inside of the house. Boooring :|

In desperate need of a new design
I am so frustrated with the darkness of this layout! It’s preventing me from writing. Or having any motivation to write! Hmph. I have a feeling you may be seeing a holiday layout up a lot sooner than we all thought. I originally wanted this layout to carry me through Thanksgiving but I don’t think there is any way that will be happening!
Got a little rambly on this one
Tummy tum is weird this morning. I think because I’m hunnngry! Yesterday we were at Target because I needed to get some of their Market Pantry flavored waffles (Strawberry and Blueberry!) and I saw that the bakery is carrying Pumpkin flavored einstein bagels now! Yummity yum. So I ordered some of those to be picked up this morning because I know how those people rush to the bagel section in the morning! So I think that is what we will have for breakfast. Before Target, I gotta run to my bank.
Other than that, no real plans today. Gotta do laundry at some point. Gene and I are going bowling tonight. We are going to take our time as to not wear ourselves out. Everytime I leave the bowling alley I feel like I’ve had an enormous workout! I always feel so exhausted and my back hurts so bad that sometimes I can barely move on my own. But that just goes back to my back problems and we wont even go there right now.
Gene’s mother called and was telling him to move to California. I’ve always wanted to live there. Or live anywhere different. I’ve always felt the need to get out of Oklahoma. I love palm trees and to see them on a daily basis would be too good to be true. But at the same time, I’ve never thought of it more than a fantasy. Never thought it could actually happen. And when he asked me if I wanted to move to California, I kind of froze up inside. Got really scared :( I’d love to go. I want to go. Sometime. But the thought of leaving behind my mom, dad and little sister absolutely rips my heart into pieces. I don’t know if I could do it! Luckily there is no rush on this whole thing and it was just an “idea”… so yeah. Gene said he’ll job hunt here in OK for now and then we’ll go from there.
Thats all I suppose. I haven’t been keeping track of Astro’s age. Let me look at a Calendar real quick. He will be 6 months old next Tuesday! My boy is getting so old ;) The funny thing with Great Danes is that they are not fully grown until at least 2 years old, if not 3 sometimes. So it’s like they are this little puppy for SO long! I love it. He is the sweetest boy on this side of the mississippi! :)
Under The Drill 2005
So I think I need a sticker that says “Survived The Root Canal of 2005.” It would totally put meaning into how dreaded this procedure was and how triumphant I am that I got through it without totally freaking out. However, I was literally shaking through the entire procedure and he did have to stop a few times to let me breathe and calm down. I don’t know how to express to anyone how much I truly despise the dentist office! Just walking in and smelling that smell goes straight through my skin!
Besides a little random throbbing and soreness, I am doing just fine today. I only had to take 2 pain pills last night and I haven’t had to take any this morning. Gene took me to Jimmy’s Egg for The Best Breakfast In The World. And it was the best breakfast in the world, might I add. Biscuits and gravy, smothered with cheese adn crumbled sausage and ham. Yummity yum! :D
Anyway, we are taking the dogs over to my mom’s house for a little playdate as soon as Gene gets home from class. Not going to stay too long because I know Gene has things he needs to do.
The Meatloaf Saga continues
I know I promised to post more in my last entry. And I haven’t posted since then! It really all comes down to the fact that I have worked the last few days and things have been quite stressful. Don’t really want to go into details right now but we’ll just say it is money issues and stuff.
Other than that, nothing much going on. Plan on spending the weekend in bed. I’m going in for a root canal tomorrow evening at the dentist and I am so terrified that sometimes I choke on my own breath. I hate the dentist and I hate the fact that I am having a root canal. One of the absolute most dreaded dental procedures ever. Am I going to be ok??? How painful is it?? Some say its horrifying and some say it’s not that bad. Help :(
Trying meatloaf again tonight. Probably going to make up some macaroni and cheese or something to go with it. Nothing will ever be as good as my mom’s meatloaf. Nothing!
Hello to my new blogfriends, you guys rawk
I’ve got a few new people reading my blog and I can’t even begin to tell you guys how happy it makes me. It actually gives me a little more motivation to write than I previously had. So maybe I will post more! I’d also like to start a Recipes category and post some recipes. I did it in the past and I absolutely LOVE to share recipes! Especially fast and easy ones that require minimal ingredients. :D
Other than that, not much going on. Had our weekly bowling night tonight. Layla (little sister) came with us and her friend as well. Had a great time! Got free drinks for moving lanes and I got in free because of a previous mis-hap. I really didn’t want anything “free” I just wanted to let them know I was a loyal customer but was dissatisfied with the service. Ah well! And we also got buy one get one free bowling coupons because our lane messed up after we switched lanes. Oh the drama! And I couldn’t beat my high score tonight :( A little disappointing but I had fun! I think my high was in the 140s. Yeah, yeah.
Going to get a shower and get in bed :) This girl is sleepy!
I present to you, Mr. and Mrs. Bowling
I’ve already got a few Christmas gifts started. I’m going for homemade this year. I always say I am going to do homemade crafty gifts every year and I never do it.. well this year, I’m going to actually do it! I’ve started it and there is no backing down. I’d talk about what exactly I’m doing but I’m afraid that some random family member will come across the site and read it… so you’ll just have to be in complete suspense until the big day :D
Astro is growing and emma is being a silly girl, as usual. I think they both love me so much, which makes me overjoyed. They are always laying outside the bathroom door in the hallway when I take a shower. Almost as if they are waiting on me. Gene says they like me because they always do that :) I love them so much. When I go to bed Emma likes to lay right up next to me and Astro will come lay on the bed too (and take up the whole bed!). They are both my kids and I love them with every ounce of my heart :)
Not much else to report on. Gotta go to work tomorrow but then I’m off Sunday. So I think Gene and I will go to the bowling alley after I get off work tomorrow. I don’t know if I ever mentioned our bowling obsession on here or not but I will now. We are absolutely OBSESSED with bowling! We go almost every single weekend. They have Extreme Bowling where you can bowl with the lights out, strobe lights and a DJ playing music. It’s tons of fun. Gene and I have gotten tons better than we used to be. My high is 175 and his is 159. Bowling rawks!
