I hate to admit it but I am trying my best to get my sh*t together and clean this house! I have put off the “real” cleaning for too long now and I must do it! It has definitely got to the point where I’m actually concerned about the health of our little family. I mean, why else am I waking up every single morning sneezing to death and snot filled?? DUST! It is all because of dust. Because between Gene and I, The Worlds Two Greatest Dust Attractors, our house is filled with the stuff! So much that I’m actually contemplating the Swiffer Duster.

And on another note non-related to cleaning, I just wanted to ask one more time if someone would puh-leeez give me some domain name suggestions. Preferably by e-mail because I don’t want some domain nazi coming by, reading my comments, then registering a bunch of domain names that are possible contenders. E-mail me your suggestions at grl at uberpink dot net (In case you didn’t get it, that is my e-mail address.. don’t literally type that in the To: form in your e-mail program otherwise bad, horrible things will happen).

Emma is really trying my patience today! I’m trying my best to stay calm but there are moments when I just want her to be out of my sight! She is constantly bothering Astro. He gets a bone to chew on and so she has to try to steal it from him. Or she has to go get another toy to distract him. If he is laying there peacefully playing with a toy, we need to let him do that as long as we possibly can!! Geesh.

Gene and I had Mickey Ds for lunch, went to my bank, went to the post office, and went to Walmart to do a little grocery shopping. Got all we need to eat for the next week or two, yay :) And when we got home Gene and I washed my car and I swept out the garage. It’s hot out there but the cool water from the hose sure felt good. I promise I’m going to make Gene take pictures of Astro this afternoon! Gotta wait a couple of hours while my camera battery charges.

Put up a quick little Mario-inspired layout! Had to get something up here besides that other layout I had up. I love Daisies and I think they are beautiful flowers but that image was getting on my last nerve. This is much better, for now.

I’m really thinking about purchasing a new domain. Greg has hosted my domain for a really long time and I appreciate everything he has done for me, but I’m thinking it is time I start paying for service from someone. The fact that I cannot upgrade my MT on his server also plays a little role in my decision but.. yeah :D

So I’m trying to decide whether I want to keep uberpink or if I want to get a new domain name altogether. We’ll see. If you have any domain name suggestions, I would totally appreciate it. At this point my mind is kind of blank as far as that goes.

New pictures of Astro as soon as possible. Been really busy. He had his 3rd set of puppy shots today. He is now 4 months old and weighs about 44 lbs. He’ll get his last puppy shots in 3 weeks from now and then we’ll be on our way to getting him out of these cute but exhausting puppy stages! Haha. I love puppies but he has proven to be a lot of work ;)

I wish I could get something done around the house but I feel like a big ‘ol piece of crap! My sinuses are hurting so that includes a major headache and a really sore throat. And to top that off, Aunt Flo came to visit and is causing much agony in the abdomninal region! I swear, I just can’t get a break. I’ve been feeling “off” the whole 4 days I’ve been off of work. But having 4 days off of work was totally awesome as it is!

So with all of my crappy feeling, I may be sending Gene to the grocery store hisself. I don’t want to do that because we always do our grocery shopping together and I love to do it. We may just live on what we have until next week and then maybe we can go together then. But as it stands right now, I am not going to the store at all! I may go out and weedeat the yard while Gene mows but that is as much activity as I’m going to participate in.

Been down with a little sickness lately. The change of weather can definitely claim some responsibility for it. I think the weather change and a recent outbreak of stress are definitely the cause of this. I don’t really have anything contagious. Mostly just really awful sinus problems and occasional tummy aches. Nothing I can’t handle. Although I do admit that the sinus symptoms are just downright awful at times.

I don’t like this transition period from hot to cool weather. At night I like to keep windows open and enjoy the cool breeze (if there was one! It is 70° out right now and there is no breeze so it is burning up in here) but during the daytime it reaches the low to mid 80s and there is just no way to endure that kind of heat! Not in a state that is known for its humidity, anyway.

Should have new pictures of Astro next week sometime. Going to call his vet Monday to schedule his third round of puppy shots. My little baby is growing up so quickly! Ugh, need to get out of this computer room.. it is like a sauna in here!

I have been having one hell of a time with Movable Type this afternoon! I mean, to the point where I feel like chunking the computer out the window! Of course, I wouldn’t do that because I’m at work and I think that could probably lead to some hefty consequences. Plus, I’m an angel and would never even dream of doing something so violent ;)

I tried to install the Netflix plug-in and it was a complete flop. And speakins of flops, I tried to install the MT FlipFlop plug-in that allows you to alternate the colors on your comments and that was a doozy, as well. So at this point in time, I’m not feeling very confident with Movable Type. Yeah it is an awesome CMS but it is definitely getting pushed down a notch every time I run into glitches like this. Guess my Movable Type installation is going to remain bare bones as it is!

It rained and we had a mini-storm earlier this afternoon. Nothing too exciting but enough to get me all giddy :) There was actually about 2 extremely loud thunders that totally scared the crap out of me. I mean, they made me jump and my heart rate soar in a matter of seconds. I love storms like that! Didn’t see any lightning so we haven’t really had any major problems of that sort. Working at a place that I work, it is very sensitive to weather. So whenever we have heavy downpours, high winds, and lightning we have to be on high alert!

Anyway, enough rambling. I haven’t uploaded pictures to my flickr account in a long time. Mostly due to the fact that I seem to be working every single day and when I do get a day off, I need to do things around the house or spend that time with Gene. I promise that there will be plenty of pictures uploaded of Astro and Emma by the 20th. He turns 4 months old on the 20th! He is growing so quickly. He doesn’t eat as much as I think he should but he seems to be doing ok. He is definitely lean but not emaciated, so I’m not too worried! Him and Emma are officially moved into the spare room and I love it! As soon as we get his crate tomorrow (UPS should be delivering it tomorrow, after a week and a half delay), they will be all set! That bedroom is going to be full once we get his crate in there!

Every now and then I get into this funk. A funk where I feel like all I do is the exact same thing every single day. Yeah I should be thankful for having an every day routine as a lot of people could only hope for their routine back right now. And I am thankful. Just getting a little tired. And it may just be the fact that I’ve been working a lot lately. All I really feel like doing when I get home from work in the evening is watching the dogs play and then getting in bed. Oh and I can’t seem to peel my eyes away from CNN :| Which just adds to frustration and sadness.

I’m at work right now. Just hanging out. It’s Labor Day so we get holiday pay and no one comes into the office so it should be a fairly quiet day. I wont lie though, I really wish I was at home with Gene today. My mom is going to take the mower over there later so that he can mow our yard. The grass has been growing at a pretty fast rate ever since we got all of that rain a couple of weeks ago. Up until then, we were only mowing the yard once every 2 or 3 weeks. Crazy stuff!

The UPS website showed Astro’s crate had an arrival scan on July 31, 2005 in Illinois. Well, I heard nothing from UPS and it was supposed to be shipped on the 3rd, so I figured it just was going to be late due to what all is going down in the South right now. Well, on the 3rd it showed up on the UPS site that the package was in Washington and it had been “forwarded to the facility in the destination city.” Ooook. I’m guessing it just somehow got on the wrong truck and ended up in Washington, or something? Because I’m between Washington and Illinois and Washington would be WAY out of the way! Who knows though, I’ve never really understood UPS’s process. I’m sure it makes total sense to them, though!

My nose is cold. Should have brought a jacket or something. I’m going to make a dentist appointment tomorrow. I really need to go in and have my teeth cleaned and checked out. It has been entirely too long since I’ve done that. I hate the dentist office, with a passion. Just walking into the lobby, smelling all of that dental smell.. Ugh! Really makes me feel nauseated. But I’m going to be the brave woman I am and call to make an actual appointment! I mean, what is the point of having dental insurance if I don’t use it! Wish me luck with that…
